Bursary Guidance
If you are applying for a bursary because your total taxable household income is under £50,000, please complete the form. For all other bursary applications, you do not need to complete the form as we have the information we need from your enrolment application.
Bursary Eligibility
Bursaries and scholarships support young people from underrepresented backgrounds (i.e. Black, Asian and ethnic minority students, disabled students and those from low-income households).
Types of Income Evidence
Please indicate if your household is in receipt of any of the following and provide the evidence requested. We cannot process applications without income evidence.
Income Support: Official letter confirming benefit dated 2022, or recent bank statement showing payment into your account. (recent = within last 2 months)
Job Seekers Allowance or ESA: Official letter confirming benefit dated 2022, or recent bank statement showing payment (recent = within last 2 months)
Tax Credits/Universal Credit with gross household income of less than £50,000: Copy of Tax Credit/Universal Credit Award Notice for 2022/23 (all pages)
Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support: Copy of recent letter from Local authority showing eligibility (NB 25% discount for single person occupancy does not qualify on its own)
