WYMN has unveiled a new action plan designed to boost the region’s music ecosystem. Part of Tracy Brabin’s You Can Make It Here programme, designed to support and drive growth across the region’s creative sector, the WYMN launched with Leeds Conservatoire, Come Play With Me and Create Britain.

Leeds Theatre Festival Returns for 2026

Taking place from 6 to 18 July at Leeds Conservatoire, the one-of-a-kind festival will showcase over 40 different theatrical productions. The programme includes original theatre, new musicals, play readings, scratch performances, comedy, dance works and commissioned productions.

Sound City has selected four Leeds Conservatoire artists to perform at this year’s festival; the tenth year in a row. To mark this milestone, as well as the conservatoire’s own 60th anniversary, sessions have also been added to the Sound City+ Conference schedule.
