Commuters at London’s Victoria Station were surprised with a live performance by the LC Pop Choir of uplifting tracks, including a specially arranged version of ‘Hold My Hand’ by Jess Glynne featuring voiceover artist Zoë Lister. The choir’s performance was accompanied by atomisers releasing a sun lotion aroma, alongside giveaways and other bursts of holiday cheer.
LC Pop Choir is Leeds Conservatoire’s flagship contemporary choir, led by Musical Directors Craig Lees and Declan Davies, showcasing some of the exceptional talent nurtured at the creative institution. Known for its vibrant performances and infectious energy, LC Pop Choir has entertained audiences in various settings, from television appearances on shows including ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent to performances at iconic venues like the Royal Albert Hall.
Craig shared the following: “It was fantastic to collaborate with Jet2 on this project. Being able to represent Leeds Conservatoire in the capital, whilst providing our students with real world professional performance opportunities, was a huge plus. We hope to continue this relationship, and bring the choir's energy to any new opportunities that may come our way.”
Audiences can next experience LC Pop Choir live at Brodrick Hall at Leeds City Museum on 25 February. Step Into Song is a high-energy, feelgood evening where attendees will learn a brand-new song arrangement, sing their hearts out and dance the night away. No previous musical experience is needed.
