Leeds Conservatoire was saddened to hear of the passing of John Wallace CBE at the age of 76.

An acclaimed trumpet soloist, composer and former Principal of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, John had a major impact on music performance and education in the UK.
Professor Joe Wilson, Leeds Conservatoire Principal, said: “John will be missed by many. He was a Vice-Patron of Leeds Conservatoire, an honour we were proud to bestow to acknowledge his significant creative contributions. Our thoughts are with John’s loved ones and everyone who knew him.”
