The School of Drama at Pineapple Studios London
It's all about industry connections at the School of Drama this month. In May our final year Musical Theatre students travelled to London to showcase their skills to agents and industry guests, at the famous Pineapple Studios!
Competition Semi Finals with the School of Popular Music and Voice
Congratulations to BA Voice student Erin, who has been selected for the semi finals of national competition West End Calling. Well done to Erin and everyone involved!
Band Camp with the School of Production and Events
In May, our students from the School of Production and Events took the world of Music Business by storm, as they worked in an industry simulation at Songwriting Band Camp in Hammelburg.
The Frank Kidson Choir Project with Lecturer Bryony Griffith
We celebrated 60 years of music in Leeds at The Frank Kidson Choir Project in Leeds City Museum. Lecturer Bryony Griffith joined other performers in showcasing the influence of Folk Music collector Frank Kidson.
Liverpool Sound City
We celebrated 10 years of our ongoing partnership with Liverpool Sound City this May. This year's festival featured four fantastic acts from Leeds Conservatoire!
In celebration of our 60th anniversary, we were also represented by Keith Ayling (Professor of Songwriting) and Mica Sefia (2022 Popular Music graduate) at the Sound City Conference.

SPEAK OUT! Women's Voices in Music
In May, Leeds City Museum hosted the 5th Annual F-List Gender in Music Research Conference. We heard researchers, musicians, activists and industry voices come together in Leeds for the first time.
Shoutout to some of our students and staff who were involved in the conference; Vice Principal Patsy Gilbert, Mariam Kauser, Daniela Bonitz, Bethany Milner, Elysha Clay, Erin McCafferty and Mya Mistry!
