Amy, who completed her course at Leeds Conservatoire in 2025, received the nomination for her professional debut as Princess Beauty in the Worcester Repertory Company’s production of Sleeping Beauty at the Swan Theatre.
Now in its fifth year, and organised by The UK Pantomime Association, the awards ceremony will take place on Sunday 19 April at Wycombe Swan. The Pantomime Awards nominees demonstrate the expertise and enthusiasm from creatives and cast members who work tirelessly year-round to bring exceptional entertainment to theatres across the country.
Described as “a dream to work with” in this Worcester News article, Amy welcomed the opportunity to play Princess Beauty. Reflecting on the experience, she said: “I absolutely adored playing Princess Beauty! Thanks to our brilliant director and writer Ian Good I got the opportunity to play a princess written with so much ambition, strength, depth, and joy. It was wonderful exploring a character who was fiercely loyal to those she cares about, tried to always see the best in people, and wasn’t afraid to be silly and goofy, three qualities I could definitely relate to and have carried with me since closing the show.”
This is not the first time that a Leeds Conservatoire graduate has been recognised at The Pantomime Awards. In 2023, Neha Eapen (Musical Theatre, 2022) won Best Early Career Newcomer for her pantomime debut in Cinderella at Leeds’ Carriageworks Theatre.
We wish Amy the best of luck.
