Romesh Dodangoda Receives Visiting Professorship

A pioneer in the world of music production with a longstanding commitment to Leeds Conservatoire was awarded a Visiting Professorship during a summer Graduation ceremony.

Craig Golding, Head of School of Music Production and Events, said: “The School has enjoyed a highly valued partnership with Romesh over the past six years. During this time, he has made an excellent contribution to our students’ learning and development through the delivery of individual feedback sessions with final-year students, as well as inspiring masterclasses for entire year groups. This Visiting Professorship is awarded not only in recognition of Romesh’s distinguished achievements and standing within the music production industry, but also as an acknowledgment of the enduring relationship he has established with Leeds Conservatoire.

“In a field that continues to evolve at an extraordinary pace, maintaining professional relevance and creative excellence is essential. Romesh’s ongoing engagement with our students has ensured that they benefit from current industry insight, expertise and inspiration at the highest level. We are very proud and grateful that Romesh has been an important part of our students’ educational journey. We look forward to strengthening this relationship further through his appointment as Visiting Professor of Music Production and to continuing our shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of music producers.”

Romesh shared that he was “incredibly grateful” to receive a Visiting Professorship, congratulated all graduates and wished them the best of luck on their journey in music.
