A pioneer in the world of music production with a longstanding commitment to Leeds Conservatoire was awarded a Visiting Professorship during a summer Graduation ceremony.

Romesh Dodangoda, a record producer and mixer hailing from Wales, is celebrated for his ability to craft records that combine power, clarity, and emotional depth. With multiple UK Number 1 albums to his name, he has established himself as one of the most versatile and in-demand producers in modern rock, metal, and alternative music.
Over the course of his career, Romesh has collaborated with an array of world-class artists, bringing a distinctive sonic identity and meticulous attention to detail to every project. His work has been recognised at the highest level, earning two GRAMMY Award nominations as well as a Mercury Prize nomination, alongside widespread critical acclaim in the music press. His credits span breakthrough acts to global names, united by his commitment to pushing creative boundaries and delivering records of the highest calibre.
Alongside his studio work, Romesh is dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation of music producers. Through his Control Room Audio community and educational initiatives, he shares insights, techniques, and mentorship with aspiring producers and engineers around the world, helping to nurture new talent and foster a vibrant community of creatives.

This Visiting Professorship is awarded not only in recognition of Romesh’s distinguished achievements and standing within the music production industry, but also as an acknowledgment of the enduring relationship he has established with Leeds Conservatoire.
