Joseph Wolff, a star from a new hit musical, is hoping the show could usher in a fresh era for disabled actors.

Leeds will end its Year of Culture on a high with an original new show this festive season. The cast includes a Musical Theatre Senior Lecturer, and an Acting graduate.

Held in the conservatoire’s specialist facilities, the celebratory event comprised of a panel discussion and a special side-by-side orchestral performance.

Pavanveer Sagoo performed in A Christmas Carol as part of his training. Now an Acting graduate, he is continuing the Dickens theme after being cast in the title role of a new version of Oliver Twist.

New Connections was a Knowledge Exchange project designed and delivered collaboratively by Leeds Conservatoire and Orchestras Live in spring-summer 2023, as part of a three-year partnership.

The band, who formed in 2020 after meeting at Leeds Conservatoire, follow in the footsteps of artists including Wet Leg, beabadoobee, Arlo Parks, Nadine Shah, Anna Calvi and Wolf Alice.
