BA (Hons) Acting

Anita has over 25 years experience within the entertainment industry, initially training as an actor at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA). After graduation Anita worked professionally in Theatre, Television, Film, Radio and Voice Over. Professional credits include working on shows for BBC Radio 4, ITV, Carlton TV, LWT & Warp Films, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds & New Perspectives Theatre Company.

Anita then went on to gain an MA (Distinction) in Professional Voice Practice at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to further her passion in the study of Voice & Accents. Since completing the course, she has lectured at drama schools & colleges around the country, teaching and delivering masterclasses, amongst working 1:1 with clients and providing show support for Theatres and companies, including Derby Theatre, Sheffield Crucible, National Youth Theatre Connections & Hammerpuzzle, through her company Speakeasy Voice & Accent Coaching.

Anita’s particular research interest is in the actor's use of voice on-screen, and she continues to develop and refine her findings.
