Nell is a voice coach, facilitator and actor. She is interested in the relationship between breath, voice and the material body, and looks to interrogate the power dynamics of the free, natural voice movement.
She is currently teaching voice at Leeds Conservatoire and the University of Northampton, and has previously taught at Associated Studios and Bodens College of Performing Arts.
Continually looking to expand her approach and anchor her practice, she has participated in Linklater, Rodenburg and Knight-Thompson Speechwork workshops, as well as bringing in influences from Alexander Technique, Lucid Body, Viewpoints and Clowning.
Before completing her MA (Distinction) at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, Nell trained as an actor at Drama Studio London, competing in the BBC Carleton Hobbs Radio Drama Award, and has a Politics BA (Hons) from the University of Sheffield.
