Harmony

A musicianship session focusing on harmony in a jazz context. This offers a glimpse into how theory is taught in a practical, performance-led way.

Rhythm

A lively, practical rhythm workshop exploring time, feel and groove. This session highlights rhythm as a shared ensemble skill rather than just a drummer's job.

Performance Workshop

A relaxed performance workshop with a current student band, where you're encouraged to get involved, sit in and play. This session reflects the collaborative, practical approach to performance at the heart of jazz study at Leeds Conservatoire.

Vocal Workshop

An interactive vocal session with live accompaniment (jazz trio/quartet), exploring how singers and instrumentalists work together. A chance to see rehearsal and communication skills in action in a supportive environment.

Industry Preparation

A shared workshop bringing students together to explore practical music and industry topics. Informal and discussion-led designed to reflect the wider skills needed to build a sustainable career in music.

Audition Preparation

A practical session focused on audition preparation, including what to expect, how to prepare and how to present yourself musically. Ideal for gaining confidence and insight into the audition process.
