Bio: Jason Wolff is a multi-hyphenated performer and composer from Toronto, Canada. Hailing in from Sheridan College's prestigious Music Theatre Performance program, Jason has come to Leeds Conservatoire to study a master's in writing for music theatre!
Your Time at Leeds Conservatoire
What is the most surprising or amazing thing you have learned so far?
I think the most amazing thing I've learned has been about the amazing opportunities that the UK has to offer. Everywhere I look, there are opportunities both within the conservatoire and outside, and that Leeds Conservatoire offers so many connections to professional networks all over the country and beyond.
What has surprised you most about studying at Leeds Conservatoire?
I think the vast amount of talent within the walls of the conservatoire has blown me away the most. Every course, every year, is stacked full of headlining-level talent.
Do you have any advice for students who are considering moving to the UK to study?
If you are considering a career in the performing arts, on stage or off, consider coming to Leeds Conservatoire. There are so many focused programs and opportunities for every interest. Also, the conservatoire made the visa application process much less scary by constantly answering my questions and guiding me along.
Your Career
What are your career goals/ where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I hope to perform all over the world, from West End to Broadway, as well as tours. I hope that my work can be performed on international stages, and that I can draw more attention to the amazing talent that Canada holds.
What have your career highlights been so far?
I've had the amazing opportunity to be a lead in the Canadian premier of Leonard Bernstein's MASS back in 2024, as well as being featured as a singer in M Night Shayamalan's recent film Trap.

What has helped you feel at home in Leeds?
There are so many social events that have allowed me to quickly make friends in the city. The conservatoire has shown so much appreciation for the international students and has really helped ease the transition.
