Melia Simonot – accordion
As well as being crowned BBC Radio Scotland Young Classical Musician of the Year 2024, Melia is an international prize-winner. Melia plays a wide range of repertoire from Baroque to modern pieces written for the accordion including Kalina Krasnaya or Golden Roses, a fantasia based on a Ukrainian folk melody.
