Alexander Traykov - piano 

Alexander Traykov is a Bulgarian pianist currently studying with Petras Geniušas at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He was named reserve finalist for BBC Radio Scotland Classical Musician of the Year 2025. Alexander has performed in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall (New York), the Grosser Saal of the Mozarteum (Salzburg), and the Purcell Room (London).

Alexander’s programme includes music by Pancho Vladigerov – arguably the most influential Bulgarian composer, and the first to combine Bulgarian folk music with Western classical music.

Alexander has participated in international courses and festivals such as Vivace Vilnius, Forum Musikae (Madrid), and the Thomas Harris Piano Foundation, receiving guidance from artists including Edna Golandsky, Leonel Morales, Steven Osborne, and Alberto Portugheis.
