An evening of Coldplay music presented by The Bezalel Orchestra
Bringing together strings, synthesizers, singers, a big band, electric guitars, special effects and an oversized box of toys for the percussion section, The Bezalel Orchestra embraces a wide range of genres, with arrangements including rap, a cappella, swing-era jazz, funeral marches, Hans Zimmer like intros and romantic-era strings, all explored through the medium of Coldplay. Conducted by Simeon Lord this 60-person organism delights in variety and promises to leave the audience with a musical hug, very much in the spirit of the music they are playing.
Aimed at those who have adored pop music on the radio and at festivals growing up, this evening of music will show the tour de force possible when having an extensive collection of exceptional musicians behind it. This orchestra was born out of a 16-person gig titled The Arrangement Project, which nearly sold out on the door even though it hadn't existed 6 weeks prior. Within 48 hours of the performance, 30 plus musicians, most of whom didn't even attend, wanted in, and so Bezalel was created. Brimming with potential for the future, this inaugural gig will remain etched on the memories of all who attend.
