Leeds Conservatoire has an ongoing partnership with Sound City. As part of this, the festival team has selected artists from the conservatoire to perform at Sound City 2024: the eighth year in a row.

Twelve universities and higher education institutions in Yorkshire, including Leeds Conservatoire, have issued a powerful open letter to the region’s mayoral election candidates.

The organisation, formed in 2020, was set up to address racial inequality in the music industry and create opportunities for Black, Asian and ethnically diverse musicians and professionals.

The massive contribution that the music industry makes to the economy was the theme of the Leeds Chamber Annual Dinner. Leeds Conservatoire was involved in panel discussion and performance at this.

Leeds will end its Year of Culture on a high with an original new show this festive season. The cast includes a Musical Theatre Senior Lecturer, and an Acting graduate.

Held in the conservatoire’s specialist facilities, the celebratory event comprised of a panel discussion and a special side-by-side orchestral performance.
