ENGLISH TEACHER
Our alumni English Teacher were amongst the artists who contributed to the album ‘HELP(2)’, which has been shortlisted for the Mercury Prize!
Just two years ago, English Teacher won the accolade themselves with their debut album This Could Be Texas’.

Monologue Bootcamp for Drama Students
The Monologue Bootcamp is back for a 4th year! Run by our Access and Participation team as part of our commitment to increasing the number of students on our courses who are from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds.
Participants learnt more about the audition process, took part in games and got expert advice on their chosen monologues, alongside help and guidance on where to find new ones.
School of Popular and Voice Lecturer Releases New Album
Our School of Popular and Voice lecturer, Sam Carter, has released a brand new album. 'Sam Carter Sings Nic Jones' climbed to No. 8 on the Folk Music Charts!
At a gig at The Sidmouth Folk Festival, Sam had the pleasure of playing this album with Nic Jones himself in the audience, it was a gig he "will remember forever".
Master's students from the School of Music and Education at Leeds Minster
Our Master's Classical Students recently performed at a series of Lunchtime Concerts, in the beautiful setting of Leeds Minster.

Visiting Professorship from The School of Production and Events
Congratulations to Romesh Dodangoda, who was awarded a Visiting Professorship at Graduation from The School of Production and Events.
Romesh specialises in Rock, Pop & Metal music production. With a long list of credits including work with Bring Me The Horizon, Motörhead, Funeral For A Friend, Nova Twins, Twin Atlantic, Kids In Glass Houses and more.
