Liam teaches part-time for Leeds Junior Conservatoire.

Liam completed his BA and MMus in composition from Leeds Conservatoire in 2018 under the tuition of Jacob Thompson-Bell and Ben Gaunt. He has also received additional private lessons with Gavin Bryars.

In 2016, Liam composed an arrangement of music by Martin Peerson (c. 1571-1650), using transcriptions assembled by Prof. Richard Rastall from the Peerson Project at Leeds University. The work received a live broadcast on Chapel FM and featured in a short documentary for Made in Leeds. Liam also composed a song cycle for the Leeds Lieder Compoers and Poets Forum, with text by Gail Mosley. He has also composed music for the city’s annual Light Night. In 2017, he performed at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.

During his postgraduate studies, Liam produced No_Signal, an immersive concert experience depicting malfunctioning electronic systems, featuring cellist Miranda Harmer and Contrarians bass player Alasdair Goodman. His course research sought to examine the impact of streaming services on classical musicians, with a focus on composers.

Liam has written sleeve notes for Cherry Red Records. He became the digital manager for singer Bonnie Tyler in 2019.
