Tom is originally from Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales. He attended the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Acting Studies.
He subsequently gained a PGCE in English and Drama, a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and is currently nearing the completion of his PhD at The University of Chester entitled The Art of the Heel; Narrative, Performance and The Heel in Professional Wrestling.
Tom has worked broadly in the industry, on television appearing in Coronation Street (ITV), Emmerdale (ITV), Hollyoaks (Channel 4), Mount Pleasant (Sky), Homefront (ITV), Moving On (BBC), The Royal (ITV), Atlantis (BBC), The Amazing Mrs Pritchard (BBC), and Eric and Ernie (BBC) and Cucumber (Channel 4).
In addition to this Tom has worked extensively in Theatre including The Royal Exchange; Manchester, The Lowry; Salford, The Bolton Octagon, Harrogate Theatre, Wakefield Theatre Royal and The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival.
Academically Tom has lectured in acting at The University of Manchester, The University of Salford and The Arden School of Theatre.
