Musicians' Survival Guide

Your guide on how to survive (and thrive) in the music industry

The Musicians' Survival Guide is an online guide packed with need-to-know contacts and information. Read expert advice on navigating the music industry, with comprehensive tips on everything from legal, finance and marketing to concert programming, performing and starting your own business.

We also provide the Musicians’ Technical Guide for those enrolling at the conservatoire, to help improve the student’s knowledge and understanding of the live arena, technical staff roles and their own performance ahead of study.

Each year we publish a new physical edition at the graduation ceremony, but articles and content from all editions is available online all year round.

Navigate through the subject headings below to find articles, advice and interview pieces from experienced clientele within the industry.
