'What Makes a City?'
Join us for an evening of new Opera, celebrating 60 years of Leeds History! 'What Makes a City' delves into what has made Leeds, Leeds - exploring topics of culture, sports, infrastructure, music, nature, and much more. The scenes you will see have been co-created by Leeds Conservatoire students and a creative team consisting of Michael Betteridge (composer), Persia Babayan-Taylor (Director), and Chris Pulleyn (Musical Director).
Performed at the stunning Brodrick Hall, 'What Makes a City' is a new Opera, written by Michael Betteridge and commissioned by Leeds Conservatoire, to celebrate their 60th birthday celebrations. The Opera also marks the closing of the 'Music Leeds Us' Exhibition at Leeds Museum, which has been celebrating 60 years of music since its opening in October.
