Leeds Conservatoire and the Red Violin festival have teamed up to bring a fun, free of charge, musical experience to the city and invite violinists of all ages and abilities to join.

A brand-new network has been created to connect creative musical talent with opportunities in West Yorkshire. Launched by Mayor Tracy Brabin in collaboration with Leeds Conservatoire, Come Play With Me, and CREATEBritain, the regional network will be a central hub for music industry professionals to share knowledge and insight, create opportunities and collaborate.

The four-piece band, who formed at Leeds Conservatoire, are the first act from outside London to win the Mercury Prize in a decade.

Every year, the RPS provides funding to talented young musicians who do not own an instrument suitable for their professional training. The RPS has again chosen to support three of our students.

A performer who trained at Leeds Conservatoire is making her professional debut in Shrek the Musical at London’s Eventim Apollo. Davina Manuel-Mokwenye secured her first job just prior to graduating.
