You can apply to our postgraduate programmes throughout the year

MA Music and PgDip Music applications are currently open for both September 2021 and September 2022 entry.

MA Dramaturgy, MA Musical Direction, MA Musical Theatre Company and MA Musical Theatre Creatives are open for September 2022 entry only.

There are two ways to apply…

1. UCAS Conservatoires

2021 Entry

You can apply for MA and PgDip Music via the UCAS Conservatoires website

If you are applying via UCAS Conservatoires, you will need the following codes:

2022 Entry

You can apply for MA/PgDip Music, MA Dramaturgy, MA Musical Direction, MA Musical Theatre Company and MA Musical Theatre Creatives via the UCAS Conservatoires website.

If you are applying via UCAS Conservatoires, you will need the following codes:

2. Direct Application

You may only use the direct application form if you have not already made an application via UCAS or UCAS Conservatoires to Leeds Conservatoire or any other institution. If you have an existing or prior application via UCAS or UCAS Conservatoires you must apply via UCAS or UCAS Conservatoires.

2021 Entry

Alternatively you can apply for MA/PgDip Music directly to Leeds Conservatoire via our Postgraduate Direct Application Form.

2022 Entry

Direct applications for MA/PgDip Music, MA Dramaturgy, MA Musical Direction, MA Musical Theatre Company and MA Musical Theatre Creatives are also open via our Postgraduate Direct Application Form.

Policies and regulations

Student Protection Plan

As a higher education provider registered with the Office for Students (OfS), we must publish a Student Protection Plan which sets out how continuation of study will be preserved for current and potential students at Leeds Conservatoire.


Accreditation of prior learning (APL)

Applicants who have undertaken learning which has been formally assessed and certified by another educational institution or training provider, as well as applicants who have gained formal recognition of learning through other experience (e.g. in-house training programmes that are not externally assessed), may be able to use this towards their study at Leeds College of Music either to satisfy entry requirements or to join the programme at a later stage. The following document provides further information on the conservatoire’s APL application procedure.
